In a desperate attempt to hold on to their power the Virginia GOP has had a concerted effort to marginalize the Tea Party and define them as "Radicals" "Racists" & "Nativist" ( ask Tito Munoz and Shaun Kenney what that is) they've had their online GOONS harassing & bullying tea party members in blogs , on facebook and at GOP meetings. I say that Virginia Tea Party Americans should take the hint and accept the fact that we are unwelcomed in today's Republican Party of Virginia. We should stop supporting them with our time and money and come election day we should stay home.
People like Brian Schoeneman , Bill Bolling and Shaun Kenney have said that tea party people are to RADICAL for the GOP, they have said that we scare independents from joining the party. So then, why should we stay where we're not welcome? Let them try to win elections without us. NO DONATIONS, NO VOLUNTEERING, NO VOTING.
Signed,
John Galt

Constitutional Amendment That Would Give States The Ability to Repeal Congressional Acts ??
What a GREAT idea!
“It restores a lot of the sovereignty and a lot of the power that the states have lost,” said Marianne Moran, executive director of RepealAmendment.org and *former executive director of Tea Party In Action.
Georgetown Law Professor Randy Barnett initially devised the idea in a 2009 Wall Street Journal opinion piece, which drew the attention of numerous Tea Party activists.
Getting the backing of 34 states, the magic number needed under Article V of the U.S. Constitution to call a constitutional convention, could be an uphill climb, but Moran is undaunted.
Virginia will be the first state to vote on issuing a resolution calling for a constitutional convention to discuss what Moran calls the “Repeal Amendment” when its House of Delegates convenes in January.
“The founding fathers who put together our Constitution … were very, very concerned about the power a large federal government, which … was the driving reason behind the first 10 amendments; a lot of what they feared has come to pass,” Virginia House Speaker Bill Howell told The Daily Caller. “I think it is vitally important that we restore some of that balance, which has been taken away.”
Howell hopes to get bipartisan support for the resolution when he brings it up for a vote next year, and he has been working with state legislators in other states to convince them to back similar resolutions.
The amendment would give the states the power to overturn federal laws even if they have the president’s signature.
“It takes 34 states to petition Congress and call for an Article 5 convention,” Howell said. “I think if Congress saw 30, 32 … states passing resolutions calling for the convention they would act ̶ they’ve done that in the past…They did it with the Seventeenth Amendment and with other efforts.”

Governor McDonnell's Budget Specifics
Details here...
I was not happy to read this....
McDonnell prevailed on a proposal that would prohibit local governments from cutting retirement benefits for state and local government employees.
We need to cut state employee salaries and benefits before Virginia is the next California..

Obama Supporters from Maryland to knock on Virginia doors for Deeds !
This is Unbelievable! A bunch of Liberal Women are coming into Virginia from Maryland to campaign for Deeds! And they are not only coming once, they have plans to come 5 times!
Can't Diddly Deeds find any Virginians willing to knock on doors for him?
I hope the republicans will be watching the POLLS closely on election day. This isn't a group of housewives organizing, this is the The Montgomery County Democratic Party!
Canvass in Virginia for Creigh Deeds (Community Service)
A Democratic win in the Virginia Governor's race will help the national Democratic agenda and help President Obama. The Republicans see this as their big opportunity but we are not going to let them win. Montgomery County Democrats invite you to go to Virginia to help Creigh Deeds win Virginia in November 2009.
We will meet at the MCDCC (Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee) parking lot, behind 3720 Farragut Avenue, Kensington.
Please arrive 9:15-9:30 am. We will match drivers and riders and depart no later than 9:45 am. Our destination will be northern Virginia (most likely McLean but that could change at the last minute) and you can expect to spend 3-4 hours out knocking on doors.
Time: Saturday's , October 3 , October 10, October 17, October 25 and 31
Organizer: Elly Shaw-Belblidia
Location: MCDCC Headquarters Parking Lot (Kensington, MD)
3720 Farragut Avenue
Kensington, MD 20895

When's the Next Tea Party?
Many people have asked me when the next tea party protest will be.
There are people organizing protests, the group OPERATION CAN YOU HEAR US NOW is planning to protest media outlets all over the country on October 17th which is a Saturday .
I thought about organizing a rally outside WaPo's DC headquarters, but I think it would have to be held on a weekday to impact them, since thats when all the reporters and editors are there. I decided against it because it's so soon after the incredible 912 March on DC. But this is definitely something to think about...Maybe after the Nov. elections..
But if you or anyone you know wants to organize a rally for Oct 17, at a news station or newspaper, I will do whatever I can to help you including posting here and sending out emails!
So, when's the next event? I think after the Virginia Elections. This election is very important to Obama and the Democrats! They need to win Virginia. Their Thugs at the SEIU and ACORN have been pumping MILLIONS into Virginia.
I know it's not every ones favorite thing to do and I would rather be at a rally sticking a sign in some tax and spend politicians face too, but We need to push the UNIONS back to NYC by getting the Republican team Of McDonnell , Bolling, Cuccinelli and any republican delegate elected.
Could you imagine Cuccinelli ever allowing the SEIU to run Virginia?
HEH!!
Please help out in some way.

SEIU, OBAMA and VIRGINIA DEMOCRATS
Kathleen Parker unravels part of SEIU and ACORN's web
ACORN and Its Political Seed
Wade Rathke, co-founder of ACORN and founder of SEIU Local 100 in New Orleans. Rathke, who resigned from ACORN last year as "chief organizer" after it became known that his brother embezzled almost $1 million from the association, continues to run Local 100, as well as ACORN International, recently renamed Community Organizations International.
One needn't be a mathematician to imagine what a national health-care option might mean to a union in search of new dues-paying recruits. The SEIU, which has promised "to fight tooth and nail" for a public option, is demonstrably persuasive. In Illinois, former governor Blagojevich (thank you for your patience) helped position the SEIU so that it could unionize health-care workers when he signed an executive order allowing collective bargaining. The SEIU showed its appreciation in advance by becoming Blagojevich's largest contributor, handing over $1.8 million for his two gubernatorial campaigns.
And guess which Party in Virginia benefits from SEIU

If Democrats lose Virginia or New Jersey, they can't pass Obamacare
Why the 6-Week Deadline for Health Care Matters
“The 6-week frame is not an accident, because something happens in 6 weeks: elections. If Democrats lose big gubernatorial races in New Jersey and Virginia, that could produce a new wave of jitters among already skittish Congressional swing Democrats. That’s one of the extraneous factors left out of some sophisticated positive assessments of the bill’s chances. Better to get it done before the ax might fall. ”
"I guess that means that people who don’t support health care reform — or people who do — should get involved in the New Jersey and Virginia elections... instapundit

Jim LeMunyon to hold Town Hall Meetings
Jim LeMunyon, who is running against incumbent Chuck Caputo in the 67th district, will be holding two town hall meetings to answer questions from voters. Mr LeMunyon is holding Town Hall meeting because Mr Caputo refused to answer LeMunyons 3 letters requesting a debate.
" A debate would have allowed voters to interview us side by side, but Chick refused our offers to debate without proposing any alternatives. Chuck may want to skip the interview, but I don't" said LeMunyon.
Maybe Chuck Caputo doesn't want to discuss his Voting Record!
Or why so many UNIONS have donated to his campaign.
You are cordially invited to Jim's Town Hall Meetings

Doug Wilder refuses to endorse Deeds!
This has got to hurt!
Doug Wilder whacks Deeds
Former Virginia Gov. Doug Wilder, the state's first and only black governor, has declined to endorse Democratic candidate Creigh Deeds. Wilder withheld his endorsement even after President Obama intervened on Deeds' behalf through a telephone call.
Wilder also indirectly attacked Deeds for supporting tax increases to help fund transportation projects in the commonwealth. Deeds wrote an op-ed in yesterday’s Washington Post declaring his support for a “dedicated funding mechanism for transportation -- even if it includes new taxes.”
Wilder’s response? “This is not the time in our Commonwealth to talk about any kind of tax increase, especially those that are fundamentally regressive and will hit hardest those who are struggling."
Ohhhhh someone get Deeds some ice!

Senator Webb flip flops on Gitmo
Senator Webb, who will be up for reelection in 2012 has miraculously changed his position on closing Guantanamo bay. He now says he's against Obama's timetable.
Remember when he said this ""We can't just continue to hold people in limbo without charges for this period of time and still call ourselves Americans"
I guess he read this poll.
Real Clear Thinker has a great post with video's and links

Virginia Moves Back to the Right
Republicans are competitive here again after a string of losses. Is Obama the reason?
Fred Barnes at the WSJ writes
"A Republican victory here would signal that Mr. Obama may now be a liability for other Democrats running for office—or at least a neutral force incapable of transferring his support. For example, a Survey USA poll from earlier this month found that 13% of Obama voters from last year plan to vote for Mr. McDonnell this year."

Dirty Money
Republican Party of Virginia Chairman Pat Mullins today called on all three statewide candidates on the Democratic ticket, plus all relevant Democratic political entities, to return all contributions received from the Service Employees International Union, a big labor group closely affiliated with the scandal-plagued organization ACORN. SEIU President Andy Stern sits on ACORN's advisory council. Combined, SEIU has contributed nearly $450,000 to Democratic candidates or Democratic Party committees in 2008 and 2009.
Dontcha think Creigh Deeds, Jody Wagner, and Steve Shannon should return the contribution ACORN and the SEIU made to their campaigns?
