McDonnell supports Drilling for Oil off Virginia's Coast

SWACGirl has the scoop

“... it is time to develop our offshore energy resources to create new jobs and provide necessary new revenue for schools, roads, public safety and alternative energy research and development in Virginia.” -- Virginia Gov.-elect Bob McDonnell

The Person of the Year

TEA PARTY ACTIVIST!

The Person of the Year was the Tea Party Activist. No one had a greater, obvious, and unexpected impact on the world than the perhaps-millions of people who suddenly rediscovered citizen activism and accountability from elected officials. Not only did they turn out for barely-organized protests around the country in April and July, they showed up at rallies at ad-hoc events, and they flooded town-hall meetings. Their advent frightened the powerful so much that some refused to show their faces in public in a season when fund-raising and handshaking are as traditional as pennant races in baseball.

What did they accomplish? No one can argue that they deflected at least one and possibly two massive government reorganizations of American industry. Without the Tea Party rallies and especially the town-hall turnouts, Congress almost certainly would have passed ObamaCare in July or September at the latest — and with a public option firmly embedded. The House passed cap-and-trade in a rush in the first week of July, but by year’s end, Democrats demanded that Obama shelve the effort. Four Democrats have already announced their retirement in the House, and another switched parties to join the minority, a nearly unprecedented step.

Tea Party activists trumped a President and two of the people on the list above. They reminded Americans that a participatory democracy means that ordinary people have to actually participate — and that when they do, they can actually change the political direction of the nation. Whether or not one agrees with the political stance of the Tea Party activists, no one can doubt that this lesson is long overdue for both the citizenry and the political class that so often only represents them in name only.

And we've only just begun!

Obama Surrenders U.S. Sovereignty: His INTERPOL Executive Order

Obama’s order removes protections placed upon INTERPOL by President Reagan in 1983. Obama’s order gives the group the authority to avoid Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests — which means this foreign law enforcement organization can operate free of an important safeguard against governmental abuse. “Property and assets,” including the organization’s records, cannot be searched or seized. Their physical locations and records are now immune from U.S. legal or investigative authorities.

If the president of the United States has an aboveboard reason for making a foreign law enforcement agency exempt from American laws on American soil, it wasn’t shared by the White House.

Andy McCarthy, former assistant United States attorney for the Southern District of New York and senior fellow at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, notes at National Review that the limitations that Obama removed are “what prevents law-enforcement and its controlling government authority from becoming tyrannical.”

A paragraph later, McCarthy describes Obama’s actions in the starkest of terms:

This international police force (whose U.S. headquarters is in the Justice Department in Washington) will be unrestrained by the U.S. Constitution and American law while it operates in the United States and affects both Americans and American interests outside the United States.

If President Obama and his radical allies in the Democratic leadership have their way, American soldiers could presumably be brought up on charges as war criminals by enemy nations and marked for arrest and deportation by an international police force on American soil. They would face charges in a foreign land without the constitutional protections they fought and bled to protect. The White House seems to be on the bewildering path of giving al-Qaeda terrorists who murder innocent women and children more legal protection than the very soldiers that risk their lives trying to bring terrorists to justice. The asinine court-martial charges being brought against three Navy SEALs based upon the word of a terrorist they captured suddenly make a sickening kind of sense.

About that Attempted Terrorist Attack..

Obama is much too busy playing golf in Hawaii to respond....

The head of the Department of Homeland Security isn't helping. I watched her on three shows and each time she was more annoying, maddening and absurd than the pevious appearance. It is her basic position that the "system worked" because the bureaucrats responded properly after the attack. That the attack was "foiled" by a bad detonator and some civilian passengers is proof, she claims, that her agency is doing everything right. That is just about the dumbest thing she could say, on the merits and politically.
Here she is her own words, over at RealClearPolitics.

Catholic Hospitals Loves Themselves Some Abortion

Everyone has their price

In an apparent split with Roman Catholic bishops over the abortion-financing provisions of the proposed health care overhaul, the nation’s Catholic hospitals have signaled that they back the Senate’s compromise on the issue, raising hopes of breaking an impasse in Congress and stirring controversy within the church.

HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVE

We're going to Peking Gourmet in Falls Church for Christmas Eve Dinner

The Gift that Keeps on Taking

The Real Price of the Senate Health Bill
Taxes start going up now, Medicare cuts begin after next fall's election, and spending for subsidies commences in five years. The price tag is not the first decade's announced $871 billion cost: It is $2.4 trillion. That's the cost of the tax credits in insurance exchanges, and the additional Medicaid costs the reform generates, over the first 10 years it's fully up and running, according to Congressional Budget Office numbers compiled by Republicans on the Senate Finance Committee.

Mr. Reid greased a Christmas Eve Senate passage of his bill, but he did so in a way that taints the product. It will hinder the Obama administration's efforts to fashion a House-Senate conference bill, as well as that 40-year majority Democrats once thought was within their grasp.

Arrogance, Corruption , Stupidity

and a Big Dose of TYRANNY

Tom Coburn explains his vote against Obamacare
"This vote is indeed historic. This Congress will be remembered for its arrogance, corruption and stupidity. In the year of 2009, a Congress ignored the coming economic storm and impending bankruptcy of our entitlement programs and embarked on an ideological crusade to bring our nation as close to single-payer, government-run health care as possible. If this bill becomes law, future generations will rue this day and I will do everything in my power to work toward its repeal. This bill will ration care, cut Medicare, increase premiums, fund abortion and bury our children in debt.

This process was not compromise. This process was corruption. This bill passed because votes were bought and sold using the issue of abortion as a bargaining chip. The abortion provision alone makes this bill the most arrogant piece of legislation I have seen in Congress. Only the most condescending politician can believe it is appropriate to force Americans to pay for other people's abortions and to coerce medical professional to take the lives of unborn children."

Senate's Christmas Gift to the American People is Tyranny

If Webb and or Warner vote NO on the bill, they do not get off the hook. They both voted to bring this bag of crud to the floor. They will be defeated when they run for reelection and they will be hearing from us in January

Lieberman voted Aye..Shame. On. You.

Webb and Warner both voted Aye for a bill they didn't read and know their constituents didn't want

The US Senate just passed the most corrupt bill in US history that will effect the life of every American for the worse. Innocent people will die... and no, that comment is not overly dramatic. Remember HMO's? Well, Obamacare are HMO's on STEROIDS! Good Luck Suing the Federal Government when your loved one dies from denial of service.

To add insult to injury they then voted to raise the federal debt to 12.4 TRILLION!!

America, the US Senate just spat on you.

Harry Reid refused to take questions after the vote.. Chuck the schmuck Schumer, Dick Durbin and Chris Dodd surrounded Dingey Harry as he took credit for paying corrupt Senators for their votes

Sarah Palin
Tomorrow’s Health care Takeover vote Will cause the sleeping giant to awaken and take action. “Average” Americans will take action as light shines on big government growth and corruption.

The Culture of Corruption
“When it comes to the public outrage that will emerge based on the deals that took place to secure passage of the Senate health-care bill, the degree of tone-deafness among Democrats is nothing short of startling. . . . These people strike me as hermetically sealed off from how most of the rest of the country view this subject. As these backroom deals become more and more widely known, anger will swell up among voters. It is bad enough to jam through a bill on a strict party-line-vote against overwhelming opposition from the public; for it to have happened only because various Members of Congress were (legally) bribed will magnify the intensity of the opposition. And for politicians to take such obvious pride in the pay-off will make things even worse. The populist, anti-Washington wave out there, which is already quite large, will only grow, and grow, and grow.”

Ben Nelson is a Weasel among Weasels for More Reasons than You Know

WEASELS, Every last one of them

The Senate voted to table Jim DeMint’s proposed amendment that would prevent Harry Reid from Bribing Senators for voting for cloture
Ben Nelson voted against Jim DeMint’s amendment, but when he realized the Democrats already had the votes to kill it, he raced back up to the clerk and changed his vote so the final record shows Nelson sided with DeMint.

Our great country deserves better

The men and women who were elected to represent "We the People" have proven that they don't care about our country or the people they were elected to represent. They only care about what's in it for them. They are not awed by the office they hold. They are not humbled by the responsibilities of that office. They don't love our country like she deserves to be loved.

At this point it no longer matters if they pass Obamacare. Our representatives have shown us the contempt and lack of respect they have for those they were elected to represent .

We'll just have to remind them over and over who they work for. And let's not stop reminding them until they understand that they're there to serve the interest of the People, not their political party or the Narcissist in the White House.

Have we lost our Country? I pray to God that we haven't, but I just don't know. This democrat party lead by Obama has proven themselves to be ruthless thugs and the Republicans in power are still fighting like gentlemen. This Christmas say a special prayer and light a candle for our country.

Happy Festivus!

Who Got What... The Selling of Our Liberty

Sen. Mary Landrieu, D-La., won between $100 million and $300 million in additional federal aid for her state's Medicaid population. The deal, secured before she cast her critical vote in favor of bringing the health bill to the floor, was immediately dubbed the "Louisiana Purchase," though the actual Louisiana Purchase was considerably cheaper.

Nebraska's Sen. Ben Nelson won permanent federal aid for his state's expanded Medicaid population, a benefit worth up to $100 million over 10 years. Other states get the federal aid for three years, but Nebraska's benefit is indefinite.

HOPE!

Passing a multi-trillion dollar government takeover of health care supported by only 35 percent of the public takes 60 Democratic senators; repealing such a monstrosity does not. Though it will take many many more Republicans in the House and Senate than there are now.

We're on the Precipice of Disaster

Professor Jacobson
Yes, it is that bad. The Democrats are about to put in place the legislative, regulatory and bureaucratic infrastructure for a complete government takeover of health care. Just read the comments from the supporters and you will see a common theme -- this is just the beginning. They know it, we know it, and Ben Nelson knows it but doesn't care because he scored some pork for his home state, just like Mary Landrieu

This is the worst of Washington. Payoffs, lies, deceit, and deception. Oddly enough, I've come to have more respect for the left-wing advocates of single-payer than the so-called moderates who will sell their principles for money. At least the left-wing has principles, even if I disagree with those principles. The moderates like Nelson and Landrieu have no principles, at least none that cannot be sold.

Where is Evan Bayh? His silence has been deafening.

How amazing is the number of circumstances which caused this perfect storm, without any one of which we wouldn't be on Obama's precipice: Massachusetts changes its rules for a second time to allow appointment of a Democrat in Kennedy's place rather than having to wait for the special election; Al Franken outmaneuvers and out-litigates Norm Coleman to steal the Minnesota race; Rahm Emanuel recruits "blue dog" Democratic wolves in sheep's clothing and people fall for it; the media covers up the Obama agenda during the campaign, portraying Obama falsely as a moderate; [added] George Allen says "Macaca," and so on.

Democrats do not care about the 2010 election cycle, or 2012. Obama has said it. He'd rather get his restructuring of society in place and be a one-term president, than be a two-term president and not succeed in perfecting our imperfections.

There is a slight, slight chance this legislation can be stopped in the House, so don't give up until the last vote is taken.

This perfect storm likely never will be repeated. But it only takes one storm to wreak havoc and cause damage which will take years or decades to undo, if it can be undone.

The only ray of hope is that most of the provisions will not kick in until well after November 2010. I've said it before, this is the political fight of our lives for the future of the country.

Rescinding Obamacare needs to be the organizing theme of the 2010 election. And throwing out the bums who voted for it.

Reid has 60 Votes for Obamacare

They're going to pass it even though they know the American people don't want it. ...

Our Country has Changed from a Republic into something else
The world will understand America has changed. Our country is now run by elites who are printing money, debasing our currency to throw at massive new spending and deficit creating programs — and actually believe they are both moral and politically smart. Just 19% of the public believes this plan will not increase the deficit.
What comes next is very discomforting to think about. But we have now crossed that line from what our country was into something else, and that something else has nothing whatsoever with the country being a Republic. There will be a reckoning for this, and it will not be pleasant — not for anyone.

Yes, Jim Webb is going to vote for it. Come on, you knew he would. Obama is using our tax dollars to buy votes from Senators and Congress people. You didn't really think Jim Webb was above that sort of thing, did you? I just wonder what Jim Webb's price was. You know that Warner came cheap, since he committed his vote early on.

OBAMA SIGNS 1.1 TRILLION DOLLAR SPENDING BILL

Obama has signed into law a $1.1 trillion bill that increases the budgets in many areas of the government by about 10 percent, including health, law enforcement and veterans' programs.
Obama signed the bill privately at the White House on Wednesday after receiving the bill from Congress on Sunday.
The bill lumps together six of the 12 annual appropriations bills for the 2010 budget year that began Oct. 1.
Most Republicans opposed the bill, citing runaway federal spending. They also pointed to an estimated $3.9 billion for more than 5,000 local projects sought by lawmakers from both parties.

Obama and his wife just love spending other peoples money...

Was the Medicare Provision a Bait and Switch?

Rush seems to think so

From his show yesterday..
"Now, I also think that this Medicare expansion was a ruse from the start. In negotiations, if you've ever been in any involving, say, your compensation or representing a company or something, you always, in preparing for negotiations, you put in what are called throwaways, things that you demand be included in the deal that you secretly will throw away or give away in order to get a final deal, and both sides do this. Except our side. We don't do anything but accept the premise and needle with it around the margins. And I think that this Medicare expansion was a throwaway from the get-go. I don't think they were ever serious about this, and I'll tell you why. Simple logic. There's no way in a bill that cuts Medicare $500 billion you can expand it to cover people down to 55 years of age. The two just don't go together. So what they do, they raise the Medicare expansion as an issue at the last minute when Dingy Harry is having problems, and then they kill it a few days later on the desires of Lieberman.

This gives them cover to get Lieberman on their side, and then others say it's now okay to vote for this, since they got rid of the Medicare expansion. As I say I think it was a ruse from day one, it was a strategy. You put out a false option, you have a Senator object to it, a Senator who is thought to be a moderate -- Lieberman -- with an independent party label instead of Democrat, and he says, "I can't vote for this. Why, there's no way I'm going to vote for that. I'm not going to vote for this with the public option in it, either." So you give in, you give in to Lieberman, you give in to the so-called moderates, you claim there's no Medicare expansion and no public option and you get your 60 votes, and you look like you're compromising, when you're not compromising at all because you never intended the Medicare expansion to be real in the first place. It was just designed to get Lieberman in there and it looks like it works".

CODE RED RALLY Part 2

The arrogance and disdain our elected officials have for "We the People" astounds me.
When Tea Party Patriots national Coordinator Mark Meckler went to Senator Liebermans office yesterday he was threatened with arrest if he did not leave.

After the Rally, we went into the Russell building to visit Senators Webb and Warner. First stop was Senator Webbs office. The Senator was not there but they had a guest book to sign and leave a message, they also handed out an op ed he wrote in which he said he didn't know how he would vote! Good Grief! His staff did not tell us that there was a round table meeting on another floor with his chief of staff but I found video's of the meeting

Senator Warners office was a different story. When we got to his office we were told the Senator was not there and they didn't know where he was. Someone next to me asked them if they checked under his desk. A little comic relief is always good! We were directed to another room on the third floor where his Chief of Staff was answering questions. It was an exercise in futility and frustration. We were late getting there and the atmosphere in the room was tense.

One woman who spoke said she escaped a communist country to come here and was screaming in frustration and anger that they were destroying this country that she loved and she wanted to know why. She was very moving and many people had tears in her eyes.
When Warners Chief of staff (I did not get his name) spoke he read off talking points. In other words he lied to our faces, denied the reality of the polls and tried to convince us that this was not a takeover of health care.At one point he actually said that this last election was a mandate! I spoke up and reminded him that neither Warner nor Obama ran with the promise of Socialized medicine.

she (a) passed the stimulus bill, (b) passed a cap-and-trade bill that’s dead on arrival in the Senate, and (c) passed an ObamaCare bill that’s headed for the trash can once Reid passes something and demands that she ping-pong it, which she may not have the votes to do. During her downtime, she’s repeatedly impugned the patriotism of her opponents. Oh, and she also managed to become one of the most widely loathed politicians in America, to the point where the GOP’s planning to use her instead of Obama as its chief boogeyman in attack ads next fall.

U.S. public debt has risen from 41 to 53 percent of GDP

Over the past year alone, the public debt of the United States rose sharply from 41 to 53 percent of gross domestic product (GDP). Under reasonable assumptions, the debt is projected to grow steadily, reaching 85 percent of GDP by 2018, 100 percent by 2022, and 200 percent in 2038.However, before the debt reached such high levels, the United States would almost certainly experience a debt-driven crisis — something previously viewed as almost unfathomable in the world’s largest economy.

I've Had Enough of This Nonsense!

HOW ABOUT YOU?
Government Salaries Soar In Bad Times. “Hard times for folks outside of the federal establishment are also good times for Washington politicians with their never-ending thirst for finding new ways of grabbing tax dollars to benefit themselves, members of their families, present or former staff members, friends, or campaign donors. The $448 billion appropriations bill approved last week by the House contained more than 5,000 earmarks, many of which will ultimately benefit the favored few rather than the suffering many. It’s helpful to keep these realities about Washington bureaucrats and politicians in mind the next time one of them steps forward and proposes solving another crisis with billions more tax dollars.”
This recession has been such a boom time for the tax-supported bureaucracy that "federal employees making salaries of $100,000 or more jumped from 14% to 19% of civil servants during the recession's first 18 months -- and that's before overtime pay and bonuses are counted." USA Today was especially struck by the fact that there was only one career federal worker making an annual salary of $170,000 or more at the U.S. Department of Transportation when the current recession began. Today, 18 months later, there are more than 1,600 career employees making that much at Transportation. We can only hope that none of those additional 1,600-plus high-paid workers was responsible for the $2 billion Cash for Clunkers debacle run by the Transportation Department.

BUT WAIT! THERE'S MORE!

D.C. hands out $15M in bonuses despite recession, budget gaps

AND

Democrats plan to allow the government's debt to swell by nearly $2 trillionas part of a bill next week to pay for wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. The amount pretty much equals the total of a year-end spending spree by lawmakers and is big enough to ensure that Congress doesn't have to vote again on going further into debt until after the 2010 elections.

Another Nail in the Coffin of Obamacare

Oops! Turns out Obama's cost-cutting health plan won't save a dime; cheaper to do nothing

Analysts in the Obama administration's Health and Human Services Department reported Friday that the nation's $2.5-trillion annual healthcare tab will not shrink at all under the Democrats' legislative blueprint as being pushed by happy Harry Reid of Nevada, the Democratic leader in the Senate.

Instead, they said, the nation's medical costs will actually grow faster under the new bill than....

...they would if that chatty crowd of Washington spenders did absolutely nothing nada zippo about it. And even if they did pass the existing version for all that money, 24 million Americans would still remain uncovered.

"Although several provisions would help to reduce healthcare cost growth," the report said, "their impact would be more than offset through 2019 by the higher health expenditures resulting from the coverage expansions" to millions more Americans.

How to Defeat Obamacare

Erick Erickson nails it
The healthcare bill violates § 425(a)(2) of the Budget Act, which prohibits consideration of any legislation that contains an unfunded intergovernmental mandate in excess of $69 million per year. If the point of order is raised and sustained, a simple majority may vote to waive the point of order. But the waiver is debatable and thus would presumably require 60 votes to cloture the motion to waive. This would require them to produce 60 votes at a time when they do not have their deal wrapped up yet, once again burning up three days.

On every vote, including on constantly raised points of order, the Republicans should be objecting that the vote total is incomplete – the Democratic Chair will rule that it is complete and the Republicans then appeal and once again force a vote, delaying the process again and again.

The People Speak

Were your kids given an assignment or told to watch "The People Speak" on the History channel tonight? Well, if they were then you need to read this historians review...

Sunday, Dec. 13, the History Channel will air the Matt Damon and Josh Brolin documentary “The People Speak.” It is based on Marxist academic Howard Zinn’s capitalism-bashing, America-hating history textbook, “A People’s History of the United States.” As we all know, celebrities are experts on pretty much everything, and now we don’t have to wait until the Academy Awards speeches in order to know what to think anymore.

The production uses Hollywood celebrities to deliver a self-loathing view of the United States through selective speeches, letters and diaries. Appearing in the show are the usual Bush-bashers: Marisa Tomei, Kerry Washington, Viggo Mortensen, Matt Damon, Benjamin Bratt, Eddie Vedder, Bruce Springsteen, and Josh Brolin, who co-produced it along with Damon.

With the leftists in charge of academia now combining with the mental midgets of the entertainment industry, students will have even less actual knowledge of the United States and more loathing of it.

Hooray for Hollywood.

If your child was given a assignment or was forced to watch this crud, send their teacher a letter. This nonsense from the schools has got to stop.

Don't Get Sick in Obama's America

Harry Reid quietly inserted a loophole in the Senate health care bill that would let insurance companies put limits on medical care for folks struggling with costly illnesses — angering patient advocates, and in apparent violation of a promise made by Obama this fall.

The current bill would allow insurance companies to place annual limits on the dollar value of medical care — provided those limits are not “unreasonable,” a term the legislation doesn’t define.

Anti War Candidate who is now President, Says War is Sometimes Necessary

As he accepts the Nobel Peace Prize for agreeing with our enemies that the USA is bad.

On a side note, Russia shot a ballistic missile over Norway as Obama was getting ready to accept his peace prize and brag about his "successful" negotiations with Russia over missile defense. This is the thanks he gets for throwing Eastern Europe under the bus

Dems Vote to Keep Funding ACORN

Dems Vote to Allow Federal Funding for Corrupt ACORN
by Rep. John Boehner (R-OH)
Last night, Rep. Tom Latham (R-IA) offered an amendment during deliberations on the Democrats’ massive year-end appropriations bill to clarify the prohibition on federal funds going to ACORN or its subsidiaries. That amendment was shot down on a 5-9 party line vote as Republicans sided with taxpayers while Democrats stood with ACORN.

Rep. Latham’s amendment is necessary to prevent taxpayer money from going to ACORN because the Obama Administration’s Department of Justice has taken advantage of a legal loophole to allow ACORN to continue to receive federal funds – despite the passage of the House GOP’s Defund ACORN Act in the fall.

The American people and the Congress have spoken loud and clear: ACORN should be denied any taxpayer funds. Period.

Obama threatens to Destroy US Economy

Pass the Bill I want or I will destroy US economy.

From the Heritage Foundation..
Yesterday, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ignored our comments and declared carbon dioxide to be a dangerous pollutant under the Clean Air Act—granting itself authority for an enormous, unprecedented regulatory undertaking. Because 85 percent of the U.S. economy operates on fossil fuel, the EPA would essentially have the ability to regulate every aspect of life in America.
And the economic effects of carbon dioxide regulations are grave:
· cumulative gross domestic product (GDP) losses of $7 trillion by 2029,
· single-year GDP losses exceeding $600 billion in some years,
· energy cost increases of 30 percent or more,
· and annual job losses exceeding 800,000 for several years.
This EPA announcement comes on the heels of the Climategate scandal, in which a significant number of emails and other documents from scientists at the Climate Research Unit (CRU) at East Anglia University in the United Kingdom were publicly revealed to show a blatant disregard for the scientific process and at worst a falsification of data . Whether or not these emails and documents demonstrate a deliberate cover-up of scientific data is not yet certain, but it surely is a reason to be further concerned with the notion of scientific consensus on global warming.
But regardless of the science, there is one notion all economists agree on: a cap-and-trade system will hurt our economy. Experts from the liberal Brookings Institution to the independent Congressional Budget Office to the conservative National Association for Manufacturers agree with the Heritage Foundation that taxing American energy would result in fewer jobs and lower income - the only dispute is on just how many fewer jobs and how much less income.
Help us spread the word about the costs of a cap-and-trade system by going to NoEnergyTax.com. There you’ll be able to learn more about cap-and-trade and the EPA’s latest efforts at gaining greater control over our economy. And if you have a Facebook account you’ll be able to sign into our new Facebook application and earn points for the information you share.
Thank you for your continued support of the Heritage Foundation.
Sincerely,

Edwin J. Feulner, Ph.D.

Pakistan Detains Five D.C.-Area Muslims

on Suspicion of Terror
ISLAMABAD – Pakistani police said they arrested five U.S. citizens Wednesday in a raid in the east of the country, but declined to give a reason for the detentions.

December 8: Federal investigators are searching for a Howard University dental student and four other missing Muslim men reported missing from the Washington, D.C. area, the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT) has learned. There is concern they may have been sent abroad to train for jihad. The five were last seen November 29.
The identities of two of the missing men, Howard student Ramy Zamzam and Waqar Khan, have been mentioned in online postings, including a Facebook page that was set up Monday for friends to offer their support. Some of those pages, however, appear restricted to friends and associates.
It is not clear where the men are believed to have gone, but an informed source told the IPT that at least one left behind a farewell video.
According to the Facebook and Twitter postings, Zamzam is among the missing. He has been active in the Muslim Students Association, serving as president of the MSA DC Council. A Howard University spokeswoman has not responded to questions from the IPT.

UPDATE: ALL HAVE TIES TO AL QAEDA, all have Proudly admitted that they were in Pakistan for jihad.

HOPE

American voters give President Barack Obama a split 46 – 44 percent job approval, his lowest ever, and both the health care reform package that he wants Congress to pass and his personal rating on handling health care now win support from less than four in 10 Americans, according to a Quinnipiac University poll released today.
Voters disapprove 52 – 38 percent of the health care reform proposal under consideration in Congress, and they disapprove 56 – 38 percent of President Obama’s handling of health care, down from 53 – 41 percent in a November 19 survey by the independent Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh- pe-ack) University. …
“It’s a good thing for those pushing the health care overhaul in Congress that the American people don’t get a vote. At this time, supporters are down 14 percentage points,” said Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.

The lower Obama's approval rating goes the less likely Democrats will put their political careers at risk by voting for Obama, Pelosi and Reids agenda.
Our fight is not over yet. The Senate is still trying to pass some form of ObamaCare. Please keep calling Webb and Warner.

If the Public Option is Dead, Then Why are Liberals Content??

MARA GAY at the ATLANTIC explains
Why? Because there's a new alternative in town many public option advocates seem to like. The Senate compromise could include an expansion of Medicare to Americans 55 or older, an exchange that would allow the government to negotiate prices with private insurance companies, and a "trigger" that would create a government-run plan if the exchange doesn't provide enough Americans with affordable health care. If the compromise between liberal and moderate Democrats holds, the Senate will be one, major step closer to achieving health care reform.

A group backed by Soros is gearing up to steal the 2012 election for President Obama and congressional Democrats by installing left-wing Democrats as secretaries of state across the nation. From such posts, secretaries of state can help tilt the electoral playing field.

Are You a Racist?

By the definition of some liberals, I am... and so is the majority of Americans

Sign This Petition Opposing Obamacare

To: President Barack Obama, Members of Congress

As a concerned citizen, I oppose any and all efforts to further expand government control over the U.S. healthcare and insurance system. Specifically, I oppose the so-called “Public Option” proposals -- the “Affordable Health Choices Act” and other similar bills -- which amount to government-run, socialized health care that will impose massive taxes on the American people.

Like most Americans, I prefer getting my health coverage through private insurance rather than the federal government. That’s because government healthcare always results in higher costs and rationing. I do not want politicians and bureaucrats dictating the health care and insurance decisions of myself and my employer. Especially in these difficult economic times, I flatly reject any new government healthcare plan that imposes new taxes or burdens on individuals or businesses.

Eric Cantor Endorses Keith Fimian

The number two ranking Republican in the House of Representatives, Congressman Eric Cantor (VA-7), announced his endorsement of Keith Fimian for Congress.

Congressman Cantor said, "We are in a battle for the direction of our country. That's why I am enthusiastically endorsing Keith Fimian for Congress. Keith Fimian is a passionate believer in smaller, more effective government. He is a conservative who will be a champion for Northern Virginia families. His real world business experience is needed in Congress to get our economy moving, create jobs, battle wasteful spending and hold the line on taxes. He's the best choice for Congress in the 11th District.”

Cantor joins a growing number of Republicans supporting Keith Fimian’s campaign for Congress. Fimian has also been recognized by the National Republican Congressional Committee’s “Young Guns” program as one of the emerging Republican challengers who can defeat a Democrat incumbent.
“I am honored by Eric Cantor’s support. He has been a champion for the principles of lower taxes and responsible restraints on spending and his support means a lot. He realizes, as I do, that we cannot continue down this path of reckless deficit spending that Gerry Connolly so jubilantly embraces.” said Keith Fimian.

Republican Keith Fimian is running for Congress against Democrat Gerry Connolly in Virginia’s 11th District. Fimian’s platform includes creating jobs, holding the line on taxes and putting the breaks on out-of-control deficit spending.

Sarah Palin Book Signing at BJ's

Over 1,000 people showed up in a snowstorm to Governor Palin's book signing at BJ's today. The guy who was first in line had started his wait yesterday afternoon at noontime. The other first 100 people had been in line since late yesterday. I spoke to a man who stopped by last night and he reported that there was a few hundred on line as of 9 PM last night! People from all over Virginia were waiting in line. I did not speak to anyone who was from out of state, but someone told me that there was one guy from Pennsylvania who camped out last night.

I did not like the way the management or employees at BJ's handled the event. It was disorganized and chaotic. They would make people get off line and go inside to buy their books and then have them go back outside to wait. Some people were given a plastic bracelet and some people weren't. Those who didn't get the bracelet were not allowed to get back in line. One woman actually had to get management to let her back in line. There was one man who had a management badge on who's attitude was less than friendly. When people went up to him to ask a question, he made you know that he was not happy that he had to answer their questions.

As for the Sarah fans they were a wonderful Right Wing Mob!. Everyone was happy and excited to be there even thought it was cold, wet and snowing pretty hard. People were sharing their umbrella's and holding each others place in line so they could warm up in cars.
The media I saw there was from channel 9 and USA Today. So you can watch for their reports. I also spoke to one woman who was a freelance writer who was taking pictures and notes. I heard someone mention the Washington Post was there and people booed, which cracked me up. Low key, mild mannered right wingers harassing some snot nose liberal journalist always makes my day!
Unfortunately, I am not a member of BJ's and I did not want to join , nor did I want to get in line yesterday. So I will wait for another opportunity to get my book signed by Governor Palin.
Enjoy the pictures!
