The event is called "Islam on Capitol Hill 2009" and will take place on Friday, September 25. They are promoting it as a day of Islamic unity "to express and illustrate the wonderful diversity of Islam."
Just imagine if Christians or Jews wanted to bring thousands to DC to pray and chant at the Lincoln Memorial and other sites around the capital.
Will Obama greet them? Obama snubbed Christians and Jews on the day of pray and he ignored the 912 march on DC so it will be interesting to see if he acknowledges this "gathering"
