Diversity and the Myth of White Privilege

The old South was a three-tiered society, with blacks and hard-put whites both dominated by white elites who manipulated racial tensions in order to retain power. At the height of slavery, in 1860, less than 5% of whites in the South owned slaves. The eminent black historian John Hope Franklin wrote that "fully three-fourths of the white people in the South had neither slaves nor an immediate economic interest in the maintenance of slavery."
Nondiscrimination laws should be applied equally among all citizens, including those who happen to be white. The need for inclusiveness in our society is undeniable and irreversible, both in our markets and in our communities. Our government should be in the business of enabling opportunity for all, not in picking winners. It can do so by ensuring that artificial distinctions such as race do not determine outcomes.
Memo to my fellow politicians: Drop the Procrustean policies and allow harmony to invade the public mindset. Fairness will happen, and bitterness will fade away.

Jobless Numbers Show Minorities Crushed by Team Obama Policies
While the unemployment for white Americans averaged 9.3%, African Americans averaged 16.6%, just a little less than double the rate of white unemployment. Hispanic Americans reported 13.3% unemployment, while recent, young veterans are averaging 14.7%. Black men, over 20 years old, are showing 20.2% unemployment and teenaged, African Americans, ages 16-19, of both sexes, show a mind-boggling 39.3% unemployed. Hispanic teens also report a staggering 30.3% unemployment. The long-term repercussions of these unemployment numbers are troubling, yet the Administration is curiously silent.

Outrageous and slanderous for me to say Obama hates Blacks and Hispanics you say? the results of his policies says differently.. and if Liberals could say that Bush Hated blacks when the Levies broke in LA, which he had NOTHING to do with, then it's not a stretch for me to say Obama is a racist when HIS POLICIES are having a direct impact on people of color.

If You’re against Obamacare, You’re Probably a Racist

Today, the New York Times features an article drawing a direct link between the Obamacare debate and the civil-rights struggle over 40 years ago. The title is “Past Strife and Jeers,” and here is the opening paragraph:

WASHINGTON — Forty-five years ago, John Lewis began the third of what became society-shifting civil rights marches from Selma to Montgomery, Ala. On Sunday, the anniversary of that famous trek, he joined hands with fellow House Democrats and marched past jeering protesters into the Capitol to remake the nation’s health care system.
We have no tolerance for intolerance and condemn anyone who would resort to racist name-calling. Shame on anyone who did. But shame on the New York Times for comparing those who protested the Democrats’ health-care policy with the virulent southern racists who participated in violent and often deadly protests against civil-rights demonstrators. Give us a break.

The Left’s plan for November is to promote exactly this kind of thinking, shaming opponents into staying at home rather than going to the polls to vote the bums out, while fooling proponents that opposition is nothing more than the most atavistic form of prejudice. With every poll showing that far more voters hate Obamacare than love it (with the balance made up of the lukewarm on both sides of the issue), this is the New York Times’s effort to help shift voter intensity — which spells turnout in November — in favor of Obamacare.

We suspect the electorate won’t prove so gullible. The Old Grey Lady is not as smart as she thinks she is, nor are Americans the ninnies she believes they are.

Liberals can't handle the color of Obama's skin

"There was no scrutiny of his resume. We still don't know some of the records, haven't seen some of the records from where he went to school, just like we didn't see Clinton's medical records. We have not seen scrutiny of his background. There was no scrutiny of his past performance. He's got five-minute career, essentially, 185 days working in the US Senate. There was very little scrutiny of his campaign. There is very little scrutiny of what he says. There was a lot of praise for how he says what he says, but there was never any scrutiny of what he said, and there isn't today. So when any of these checks and balances are MIA, whenever this scrutiny of a presidential candidate does not take place, our nation is headed for trouble. And we are in trouble. When all of these aspects are ignored, when none of this scrutiny takes place, we are in deep, deep trouble, and that's where we are.

I have no quarrel with a president of any race. Obama is not black to me. He's not half black, half white. He's president of the United States, and as such, given his agenda, he poses a grave danger to the American I believe in. And that's all that matters to me. I couldn't care if he's a hermaphrodite. I don't care who he sleeps with. I don't care where he eats. I don't care what he eats. I don't care how he drives. I don't care about any of that. I don't care about his haircut. I don't care whether he's getting gray. I don't care about his tie. I don't care about any of this. I care about his intent to remake this country into a country unlike any of us have ever seen. I have serious concerns about today's media and their new standard, which is this: Any criticism of an African-American president's policies or statements or misstatements is racist, and that's it.

Therefore the question: Can this nation really have an African-American president? Or will the fact that we have an African-American president so paralyze politically correct people in the media that the natural scrutiny and process through which all of our presidents are put through and vetted do not occur because of the fear in the State-Controlled Media of themselves being called racist and the desire to be able to call everyone else racist. In other words, we have a blank slate. We have a president here who is not scrutinized, who is not examined. There is no attempt to be suspicious of power anymore. So is it possible that we really have an African-American president? Or does having an African-American president paralyze the process by which people with that kind of power in our representative republic are kept, quote, unquote, honest? I have a brief timeout here at which time I'm either going to explode in rage or I'm going to fix this audio problem, because I already started out in rage. This racism stuff has got everybody boiling mad because it's such a lie; it's such a cheap shot; it's so dishonest".

Maxine Waters : Probe 'birthers and the teabaggers' at rallies for racist views

The media should investigate the racial views of conservative activists like the ones who descended on Washington last weekend, one liberal congresswoman said Wednesday.

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said that it's not enough for African-Americans to levy allegations of racism against the right-leaning protesters, and that the media must look into their views.

"I want those people talked to; I want them interviewed," Waters told the liberal Bill Press Radio show in a podcast. "I want journalists to be all over those rallies and the marches with the birthers and the teabaggers."

"What I'm looking for is the very people who carry the signs who are referring to the policies in very, very strange ways like 'Obamacare' and 'Barry Obamacare with Kennedy,'" she said. "What I've been interested in is hearing from those people that everybody's referring to -- everybody on the Mall, in the rally."

Tens of thousands of conservative activists took to the National Mall last weekend to protest the Obama administration, specifically its stance on healthcare reform. Examples of incendiary rhetoric touching on racial overtones from some protesters have emerged on blogs in the days since the rally.

"I think it's not enough for African-Americans to say what they think, what they suspect," Waters said. "I think that if you put the microphones in front of them, if you do the interviews, they'll tell you what they believe, what they think."

Don't hold your breath waiting for Ms Waters to be reprimanded on the floor of the House. I'm sure the media will be doing exactly what she wants. Many "journalists" are already accusing everyone at Tea Parties of racism. I'm sure this is not going to stop. Do you think the PRESIDENT who was going to bring us all together, will speak out against those who are calling us Racists? Neither do I
