Administration officials are also preparing talking points and fact sheets that lawmakers can take home with them on their Easter vacation, Obama advisers said.
The key here is there's going to have to be a very aggressive, well-thought-out and comprehensive public education campaign that helps people understand it as it comes on line."
The administration is discussing programs that could help answer such questions, officials said.

Isn't There a Law Against This???

Obama Now Selling Judgeships for Health Care Votes?

Posted using ShareThis
Tonight, Barack Obama will host ten House Democrats who voted against the health care bill in November at the White House; he's obviously trying to persuade them to switch their votes to yes. One of the ten is Jim Matheson of Utah. The White House just sent out a press release announcing that today President Obama nominated Matheson's brother Scott M. Matheson, Jr. to the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.

Was the Medicare Provision a Bait and Switch?

Rush seems to think so

From his show yesterday..
"Now, I also think that this Medicare expansion was a ruse from the start. In negotiations, if you've ever been in any involving, say, your compensation or representing a company or something, you always, in preparing for negotiations, you put in what are called throwaways, things that you demand be included in the deal that you secretly will throw away or give away in order to get a final deal, and both sides do this. Except our side. We don't do anything but accept the premise and needle with it around the margins. And I think that this Medicare expansion was a throwaway from the get-go. I don't think they were ever serious about this, and I'll tell you why. Simple logic. There's no way in a bill that cuts Medicare $500 billion you can expand it to cover people down to 55 years of age. The two just don't go together. So what they do, they raise the Medicare expansion as an issue at the last minute when Dingy Harry is having problems, and then they kill it a few days later on the desires of Lieberman.

This gives them cover to get Lieberman on their side, and then others say it's now okay to vote for this, since they got rid of the Medicare expansion. As I say I think it was a ruse from day one, it was a strategy. You put out a false option, you have a Senator object to it, a Senator who is thought to be a moderate -- Lieberman -- with an independent party label instead of Democrat, and he says, "I can't vote for this. Why, there's no way I'm going to vote for that. I'm not going to vote for this with the public option in it, either." So you give in, you give in to Lieberman, you give in to the so-called moderates, you claim there's no Medicare expansion and no public option and you get your 60 votes, and you look like you're compromising, when you're not compromising at all because you never intended the Medicare expansion to be real in the first place. It was just designed to get Lieberman in there and it looks like it works".

Don't Get Sick in Obama's America

Harry Reid quietly inserted a loophole in the Senate health care bill that would let insurance companies put limits on medical care for folks struggling with costly illnesses — angering patient advocates, and in apparent violation of a promise made by Obama this fall.

The current bill would allow insurance companies to place annual limits on the dollar value of medical care — provided those limits are not “unreasonable,” a term the legislation doesn’t define.

If the Public Option is Dead, Then Why are Liberals Content??

MARA GAY at the ATLANTIC explains
Why? Because there's a new alternative in town many public option advocates seem to like. The Senate compromise could include an expansion of Medicare to Americans 55 or older, an exchange that would allow the government to negotiate prices with private insurance companies, and a "trigger" that would create a government-run plan if the exchange doesn't provide enough Americans with affordable health care. If the compromise between liberal and moderate Democrats holds, the Senate will be one, major step closer to achieving health care reform.

Reids Health Care Bill

16M uninsured U.S. citizens pay a penalty tax. 8M uninsured illegal aliens do not.
Under Leader Reid’s amendment, in the year 2019 about 16 million U.S. citizens would be uninsured and be forced to pay a penalty tax of almost $800 per year. About eight million illegal aliens would be uninsured and would owe no penalty tax. Both groups would get their health care through a combination of out-of-pocket spending and use of uncompensated care in emergency rooms and free health clinics.

The five major flaws of both the Pelosi and Reid Bills

From the Heritage Foundation

1. A New Public Plan. Both the House and Senate bills would create a new government-run health care plan — a so-called public plan — intended to “compete” with private insurers in a new health insurance exchange. The result: widespread erosion of private insurance and substantial consolidation of federal control over health care through the exchange. Congress is incapable of guaranteeing the American people a level playing field for competition between the government plans and private health plans. As the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has recently certified, what many have already concluded, millions of Americans will lose their existing employer-based coverage.

2. Federal Regulation of Health Insurance. Both the House and Senate bills would result in sweeping and complex federal regulation of health insurance that will create a one-size-fits-all federal health plan that will drive up (not down, as promised by the President) the cost of everyone’s health insurance premiums.

3. Massive Expansion of Medicaid and New Taxpayer-Funded Subsidies. Both the House and Senate would dramatically expand eligibility for Medicaid and extend generous taxpayer-funded subsidies to the middle class. Combined, such commitments are the biggest cost items in the bills would result in scores of Americans dependent on the government to finance their health care.

4. Employer Mandates. Both the House and Senate bills would impose an employer mandate for employers who do not offer coverage and for those whose benefits do not meet a new federal standard. An employer mandate would hurt low-income workers and would stifle much-needed economic growth. Our country does not need a job killing employment tax at a time of 10.2% unemployment.

5. Individual Mandates. Both the House and Senate bills would require all people to buy health insurance. Those individuals who do not purchase government qualified health care coverage would be subject to new tax penalties and in comes cases jail time.

Warner and Webb are both going to Vote Yes on Cloture Tonight

Norm Leahy
Via NBC reporter Adam Rhew's twittering of a Mark Warner appearance in Richmond this morning, we learn the following:
Warner indicates he will vote FOR cloture tomorrow: "moving to debate it simply starts the process"

They do not care what the majority of their constituents want. There have been healthcare protests at their local offices all over Virginia, they read the polls and see how unpopular it is, they know that over 1 million Americans marched on DC 912, they know that tens of thousands showed up Nov 5 on the steps of the capitol, and they still intend to vote yes on cloture, giving Harry Reid more time to bribe this bill into passing using taxpayer money!

Democrats are willing to pay for Abortions but not Mammograms and Pap Tests!

OUTRAGEOUS!
New guidelines: Pap tests should start at age 21
Doctors Divided Over New Mammogram Guidelines
Do you think that our elected officials will adhere to these guidelines for themselves and the women in families?
Do you think they're going to stop here?
And how is Obama getting votes? By using Taxpayer $$ to pay off Senators! "One Health Care Vote = $100 Million"
Nov. 20 (Bloomberg) -- Louisiana Senator Mary Landrieu, one of three lawmakers being wooed by Senate Democratic leaders to back health-care legislation, won the inclusion of an extra $100 million in federal aid for low-income people in her state.

How much have Webb and Warner been given for their votes?
This is a disgrace and a Obamanation! We need another March on DC and we need one NOW!

If Democrats lose Virginia or New Jersey, they can't pass Obamacare

Why the 6-Week Deadline for Health Care Matters

“The 6-week frame is not an accident, because something happens in 6 weeks: elections. If Democrats lose big gubernatorial races in New Jersey and Virginia, that could produce a new wave of jitters among already skittish Congressional swing Democrats. That’s one of the extraneous factors left out of some sophisticated positive assessments of the bill’s chances. Better to get it done before the ax might fall. ”

"I guess that means that people who don’t support health care reform — or people who do — should get involved in the New Jersey and Virginia elections... instapundit

She's Baack

Michelle Obama is back singing a new tune, but luckily Michelle Malkin has a long memory

While a top executive at the hospital, Mrs. Obama helped engineer the plan to offload low-income patients with non-urgent health needs. Under the Orwellian banner of an “Urban Health Initiative,” Mrs. Obama sold the scheme to outsource low-income care to other facilities as a way to “dramatically improve health care for thousands of South Side residents.” The program guaranteed “free” shuttle rides to and from the outside clinics.

Michelle Obama: US Health Care Is 'Unacceptable'

On a side note, I'd really like to know who dresses Mrs Obama. They should be banned for life from Fashion.

Which will you choose?

CHOICES

The individual choices we make in life are a direct reflection of our values and make up the foundation of our character. It is our choices which define who we really are, more than any other factor.
During the current health care debate, hardly a day goes by that we do not hear from those who believe they are morally superior to the rest of us, that this issue "concerns more than material things"...that it is "above all a moral issue; at stake are not just the details of policy, but fundamental principles of social justice and the character of our country."
Indeed, the moral choices we the people make on this issue will say a lot about the character of our country.

So it comes down to this in the health care debate: Independence and Freedom vs Dependence and Tyranny.

Obama lied, the poor and elderly will die, with or without Obamacare

Medicare facing cancer, cardiac care cuts

Reimbursements for oncologists and cardiologists are on the federal government's chopping block in the next six weeks.

If enacted as scheduled on Jan. 1, 2010, policy changes recommended by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) -- the government's insurer for the elderly and disabled -- will severely cut current Medicare reimbursements to cardiologists and oncologists for critical care services that are provided to patients in physicians' offices or other out-of-hospital setting, such as chemotherapy to treat cancer, and various cardiac procedures to monitor and treat heart disease, such as nuclear imaging and heart catheterization.

These cuts will force cardiologists and oncologists to limit care to their Medicare patients, withdraw from treating Medicare patients altogether or require their patients to pay more out of pocket to make up the difference in the cost of these services.

Unless these proposed changes are rescinded, current and future cardiac and cancer care patients will suffer the consequences, especially in rural areas where the proportion of Medicare patients is exceptionally high and patients have fewer choices of health care providers.

Evan Thomas explains why it's OK to kill Grandma

Mr. Thomas tries to justify the unjustifiable using the death of his own mother in the article he titled..

The Case for Killing Granny

I had no idea how depraved of humanity liberal ideology was.
First they promote abortion as a right because unwanted babies will cost taxpayer money, now they use the same reasoning to kill the elderly.

truely disgusting.
