Eighty-one percent (81%) of Democrats approve while 83% of Republicans disapprove. As for those not affiliated with either major party, 66% disapprove. See other recent demographic highlights from the tracking polls.
Twenty speakers’ bureaus made offers to represent her. She has signed with Washington Speakers Bureau, which represents everyone from George and Laura Bush to Bob Woodward and Katie Couric to Alan Greenspan, Colin Powell and Rudy Giuliani.
More than 950 requests for speeches have poured in for Palin, and over 120 candidates for office have asked her to appear, including folks running for Senate, House and state Legislature, aides said.
Palin will be doing both paid speeches, which are expected to go for six figures apiece, and unpaid speeches for political and charitable causes, including Christian organizations, groups that support families with special-needs children and military families.
Palin has made no commitments so far, and Washington Speakers Bureau will start responding to the invitations this week.
She’s about 85 percent finished with her book, due out this spring from HarperCollins. Then she’ll begin looking through the inch-and-a-half thick file her lawyer, Robert Barnett, has built of offers for network and cable pundit gigs, documentaries and business opportunities.

Rep. Carol Shea-Porter (D-NH) finally faces her constituents on at a health care town hall on August 29, 2009. The event was held in a small, but heavily guarded conference room at the Norris Cotton Federal Building in Manchester, NH. Many of her constituents were turned away from the event due to the space limitations of the venue. Shea-Porter has spent the majority of the congressional recess attending fundraisers and closed door events with liberal bloggers and special interest groups.

Call theses folks, I'm sure just because they're no where to be seen doesn't mean they don't want to hear from their constituents.

I wanted to send you an urgent invitation to an important town hall with Rep. Jim Moran this Tuesday, August 25th.
He'll be talking to constituents and gathering feedback. Whether you ask a question or show your support with a sign, attending this town hall is a powerful way to show where you stand and thank those in Congress who are fighting for reform.
I hope you can join us. Here are the details:
What: Town Hall with
Rep. Jim Moran
Where: South Lakes High School Auditorium
11400 South Lakes Drive
Reston, VA 20191
When: Tuesday, August 25th
Arrival Time: 5:00 p.m.
Start Time: 7:00 p.m.
Please arrive as early as possible to the town hall, and make sure that the most powerful voices in this debate are those calling for real reform, not angrily clamoring for the status quo.

Seating is limited, and as of now the doors open at 6 PM. ( you know they're going to stack the place full of Obamacare supporters.. watch all entrances and exits... at one town hall they Obamacare supporters in a side door and left other citizens waiting out front and never opened the doors.
Be there VERY early if you want to get in.
Even if you don't get in, you can still let your voice be heard outside. So Bring signs!
Be Prepared! You may get in!
Here are some questions to ask
( from an article Senator Tom Coburn wrote for National Review )
1. Why do we need to increase spending on health care by at least $1.6 trillion and steal prosperity from our children and grandchildren when we spend nearly twice per person what other industrialized nations spend on health care?
2. What programs will you cut and whose taxes will you raise to pay for health-care reform?
3. What earmarks or pet projects that you have sponsored will you sacrifice to help finance the cost of health-care reform?
4. Will you vote for a public option that requires taxpayer-funded abortion?
6. Will you vote for a plan that will allow a board of politicians and bureaucrats to override decisions made by you and your doctor?
7. If you support a “comparative effectiveness” board, what qualifies you, as a politician, to practice medicine? Have you delivered health care to a single person, much less entire classes of people you claim to represent, such as the poor, the uninsured, or children?
8. How will a government-run public option perform better than other failing government programs, such as Medicare, Medicaid, and Indian Health Care?
9. If increasing spending on health care was the solution, why hasn’t it worked yet?
10. Are you more committed to doing reform right or quickly? Would you consider backing a thoughtful alternative to the public option? If so, which one?
Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the town hall. I would love it if you would send me info, pictures and links to youtube videos so I can post them here!

I will post more info as I get it.

Many of Congressman Gerry Connolly’s constituents are calling his office inquiring about his plans for a Town Hall on the Health Care Bill. They want to express their views on this important issue. Regrettably, they get the same stale response: “We are in the planning stage and when one is finalized it will be posted on Gerry’s webpage.” However, nothing is posted after weeks of calls.
Recently, we learned that Connolly has decided to schedule two town halls, both tightly controlled events at retirement communities, one at Greensprings Retirement Community in Springfield and the other in Loudon Co. Sadly, these are gated communities and these meetings are not open to the public.
Why is Congressman Connolly hiding from the general public and those people he is supposed to be representing? Why will he not respond to the telephone calls, and legitimate questions and concerns of his constituents?
